’ You crossed the Jordan and came to Jericho. The people of Jericho fought against you. And the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Girgashite, the Hivite and the Jebusite fought against you. So I gave them into your hand.

Apoi aţi traversat Iordanul şi aţi pornit către Ierihon. Au luptat împotriva voastră atât locuitorii Ierihonului, cât şi amoriţii, periziţii, canaaniţii, hitiţii, ghirgasiţii, hiviţii şi iebusiţii, însă Eu i-am dat în mâinile voastre.
