T he second name drawn was for the families of the people of Simeon. Their land was in the center of the land of the people of Judah.

وَكانَتِ القُرْعةُ الثانيةُ لعَشِيرَةِ شِمْعُونَ بحسب عَشائِرِها. فَكانَتْ أرْضُهُمْ فِي داخِلِ أرْضِ قَبِيلَةِ يَهُوذا.
