A nd the Lord gave Lachish into the hands of Israel. Joshua took it on the second day. He destroyed it and every person in it with the sword, just as he had done to Libnah.

O Senhor entregou também a Laquis na mão de Israel, que a tomou no segundo dia, e a feriu a fio de espada com todos os que nela havia, conforme tudo o que fizera a Libna.
