T hen I took your sinful thing, the calf you had made, and burned it with fire and crushed it. I ground it into pieces until it was as fine as dust. And I threw its dust into the river that flowed down from the mountain.

Poi presi l’oggetto del vostro delitto, il vitello che avevate fatto, lo gettai nel fuoco, lo frantumai riducendolo in polvere, e buttai quella polvere nel torrente che scende dal monte.
