B ut be careful that you are not fooled into following them, after they are destroyed before you. Do not ask about their gods, saying, ‘How do these nations worship their gods so that I may do the same?’

guàrdati bene dal cadere nel laccio seguendo il loro esempio, dopo che saranno state distrutte davanti a te, e dall’informarti sui loro dèi, dicendo: “Come servivano i loro dèi queste nazioni? Anch’io voglio fare lo stesso”.
