T hey said to Aaron, ‘Make us gods to go before us. We do not know what has happened to this Moses who led us out of Egypt.’

وَقالُوا لِهارُونَ: ‹اصنَعْ لَنا آلِهَةً لِتَقُودَنا فِي الطَّرِيقِ. فَنَحنُ لا نَدرِي ما الَّذِي حَلَّ بِمُوسَى هَذا الَّذِي أخرَجَنا مِنْ أرْضِ مِصرَ.›
