T he older son said to his father, ‘All these many years I have served you. I have always obeyed what you said. But you never gave me a young goat so I could have a supper and a good time with my friends.

Însă el i-a răspuns tatălui său: – Iată, eu îţi slujesc de atâţia ani şi niciodată nu ţi-am încălcat porunca! Şi mie nu mi-ai dat niciodată nici măcar un ied ca să mă veselesc cu prietenii mei!
