H e told them to take nothing along with them but a walking stick. They were not to take a bag or food or money in their belts.

وَأوصاهُمْ بِأنْ لا يَحمِلُوا مَعَهُمْ شَيئاً لِلطَّرِيقِ: لا خُبْزاً وَلا حَقيبَةً وَلا نُقُوداً فِي أحزِمَتِهِمْ، بَلْ أنْ يَحمِلُوا عُكّازاً فَقَطْ.
