B ut Moses did not give any to the sons of Kohath. They had the duty of taking care of the holy objects which had to be carried on their shoulders.

وَلَمْ يُعطِ مُوسَى شَيئاً مِنها لِلقَهاتِيِّينَ، لأنَّ عَمَلَهُمْ هُوَ حَملُ الأشياءِ المُقَدَّسَةِ. وَكانُوا يَحمِلُونَها عَلَى أكتافِهِمْ.
