T he sons of Merari by their families are Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites by their fathers’ houses.

وَأمّا عَشِيرَتا مَرارِي فَكانَتا: مَحلِي وَمُوشِي. هَذِهِ هِيَ عَشائِرُ اللّاوِيِّينَ بِحَسَبِ عائِلاتِهِمْ.
