T he sons of Judah by their families were the family of the Shelanites from Shelah, the family of the Perezites from Perez, and the family of the Zerahites from Zerah.

وَهَؤُلاءِ هُمْ نَسلُ يَهُوذا بِحَسَبِ عَشائِرِهِمْ: مِنْ شِيلَةَ عَشِيرَةُ الشِّيلِيِّينَ. وَمِنْ فارَصَ عَشِيرَةُ الفارَصِيِّينَ. وَمِنْ زارَحَ عَشِيرَةُ الزّارْحِيِّينَ.
