W hy is the Lord bringing us into this land to be killed by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will be taken away. Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?”

لِماذا يُحضِرُنا اللهُ إلَى هَذِهِ الأرْضِ لِنَمُوتَ فِي الحَربِ وَتُؤخَذَ نِساؤُنا وَأطفالُنا كَغَنِيمَةٍ؟ ألَيسَ مِنَ الأفضَلِ لَنا أنْ نَعُودَ إلَى مِصرَ؟»
