I t is hard for Ephraim. He is crushed by punishment, because he wanted to follow what is of no worth.

أفْرايِمُ مَظلُومٌ، وَحَقُّهُ مَسحُوقٌ، لأنَّهُ رَضِيَ أن يَذهَبَ وَراءَ الفَسادِ.
