A ll at once the fingers of a man’s hand were seen writing on the wall near the lamp-stand of the king’s house. And the king saw the back of the hand as it wrote.

In quel momento apparvero le dita di una mano d’uomo, che si misero a scrivere, di fronte al candeliere, sull’intonaco della parete del palazzo reale. Il re vide quel pezzo di mano che scriveva.
