T he man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven. And I heard him promise by Him Who lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and a half a time (three and a half years). As soon as the power of the holy people is broken, all these things will be completed.

Udii l’uomo vestito di lino, che stava sopra le acque del fiume. Egli alzò la mano destra e la mano sinistra al cielo e giurò per colui che vive in eterno, dicendo: “Questo durerà un tempo, dei tempi e la metà d’un tempo; e quando la forza del popolo santo sarà interamente spezzata, allora tutte queste cose si compiranno”.
