T his is what the Lord of All, the God of Israel, says: ‘You and your wives have said with your mouths and have done it with your hands, saying, “For sure we will keep our promises to burn special perfume to the queen of heaven and pour out drink gifts to her.” Then keep your promises! Do what you have promised!’

так говорит Господь Саваоф, Бог Израилев: вы и жены ваши, что устами своими говорили, то и руками своими делали; вы говорите: 'станем выполнять обеты наши, какие мы обещали, чтобы кадить богине неба и возливать ей возлияние', --твердо держитесь обетов ваших и в точности исполняйте обеты ваши.
