E ven the cypress trees and the cedars of Lebanon are glad over you, and say, ‘Since you were cut down no one comes to cut us down.’

حَتَّى أشجارُ السَّروِ وَأرْزُ لُبنانَ فَرِحَتْ بِدَمارِكَ، وَتَقُولُ: «مُنذُ سَقَطَّتَ، لَمْ يَأتِ أحَدٌ لِيَقطَعَنا.»
