Ecclesiastes 9:11 ~ Eclesiastul 9:11

A gain I saw under the sun that the race is not to the fast and the battle to the men of war. Bread is not to the wise and riches are not to the men of understanding. Favor is not to able workers. Time comes and goes and things happen for no reason to them all.

Apoi m-am întors şi am văzut că, sub soare, nu cei sprinteni câştigă alergarea şi nu cei puternici câştigă războiul; nu cei înţelepţi au parte de pâine, nu cei iscusiţi îşi însuşesc bogăţii şi nu cei cunoscători au parte de bunăvoinţă, ci toate ţin de vreme şi de împrejurări.
