S o they put men in power over them to make them work hard. And they built the store-cities Pithom and Raamses for Pharaoh the king.

فَعَيَّنَ المِصرِيُّونَ مُشْرِفِينَ لِيُضَيِّقُوا عَلَيهِمْ بِأعْمالٍ شاقَّةٍ. وَبَنَى بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ مَدينَتَيْ مَخازِنَ لِفِرْعَوْنَ هُما فِيثُومُ وَرَعَمْسِيسُ.
