Esther 1:19 ~ Ester 1:19

I f it pleases the king, let word be sent by him, and let it be written in the laws of Persia and Media which cannot be changed, that Vashti should not come again to King Ahasuerus. Let the king give the place of queen to another who is better than she.

Se sembra bene al re, emani egli un editto reale da inserire nelle leggi di Persia e di Media e sia irrevocabile, in forza del quale Vashti non compaia piú alla presenza del re Assuero; il re conferisca quindi la sua posizione reale ad un'altra migliore di lei.
