Nehemiah 5:8 ~ ﻧﺤﻤﻴﺎ 5:8

A nd I said to them, “As we have been able, we have bought and freed our Jewish brothers who were sold to the nations. But you would even sell your brothers that they may be sold to us!” They were quiet and could not find a word to say.

وَقُلْتُ لَهُمْ: «لَقَدِ افتَدَينا إخْوَتَنا اليَهُودَ الَّذِينَ باعُوا أنفُسَهُمْ لِلأُمَمِ الأُخْرَى عَلَى قَدْرِ طاقَتِنا. أمّا الآنَ، فَأنتُمْ أنفُسُكُمْ تَبِيعُونَ إخْوَتَكُمْ. وَهَكَذا نَجِدُ أنفُسَنا مُضطَرِّينَ إلَى شِرائِهِمْ ثانِيَةً.» فَسَكَتُوا وَلَمْ يَستَطِيعُوا الدِّفاعَ عَنْ مَوقِفِهِمْ.
