A nd the Lord sent an angel who destroyed every powerful soldier and every captain and leader in the camp of the king of Assyria. So Sennacherib returned in shame to his own land. And when he had gone into the house of his god, some of his own children killed him there with the sword.

Alors l'Éternel envoya un ange, qui extermina dans le camp du roi d'Assyrie tous les vaillants hommes, les princes et les chefs. Et le roi confus retourna dans son pays. Il entra dans la maison de son dieu, et là ceux qui étaient sortis de ses entrailles le firent tomber par l'épée.
