He went out to meet the army that came to Samaria and said to them, “See, because the Lord, the God of your fathers, was angry with Judah, He has given them into your hand. But you have killed them in an anger which has even gone up to heaven.

Es war daselbst aber ein Prophet des HERRN, der hieß Obed; der ging heraus, dem Heer entgegen, das gen Samaria kam, und sprach zu ihnen: Siehe, weil der HERR, eurer Väter Gott, über Juda zornig ist, hat er sie in eure Hände gegeben; ihr aber habt sie erwürgt so greulich, daß es in den Himmel reicht.
