T hen King Rehoboam sent Hadoram, the man who made the people work. But the people of Israel killed him with stones. So King Rehoboam got on his war-wagon in a hurry, to go to Jerusalem.

Envió luego el rey Roboam a Adoram, que tenía cargo de los tributos; pero le apedrearon los hijos de Israel, y murió. Entonces se apresuró el rey Roboam, y subiendo en su carro huyó a Jerusalén.
