D avid said, “My son Solomon is young and does not yet have much learning. And the house that is to be built for the Lord must be very beautiful. It must be very great, and well-known in all lands. So I will get things ready for it to be built.” David made many things ready for it before his death.


大 衛 說 ： 我 兒 子 所 羅 門 還 年 幼 嬌 嫩 ， 要 為 耶 和 華 建 造 的 殿 宇 必 須 高 大 輝 煌 ， 使 名 譽 榮 耀 傳 遍 萬 國 ； 所 以 我 要 為 殿 預 備 材 料 。 於 是 ， 大 衛 在 未 死 之 先 預 備 的 材 料 甚 多 。
