A ll the men of Israel who were in the valley saw that the army had run away and that Saul and his sons were dead. So they left their cities and ran away. Then the Philistines came and lived in their cities.

Toţi bărbaţii lui Israel, cari erau în vale, văzînd fuga şi văzînd că Saul şi fiii lui au murit, şi-au părăsit cetăţile şi au fugit şi ei. Şi Filistenii au venit şi s'au aşezat acolo.
