I t might be that the Lord your God will hear all the words of Rabshakeh, whom his ruler the king of Assyria has sent to make fun of the living God. And the Lord your God might speak sharp words against what He has heard. So pray for those who are left of the Lord’s people.’”

Talvez o Senhor, o teu Deus, ouça todas as palavras do comandante de campo, a quem o senhor dele, o rei da Assíria, enviou para zombar do Deus vivo. E que o Senhor, o teu Deus, o repreenda pelas palavras que ouviu. Portanto, suplica a Deus pelo remanescente que ainda sobrevive’”.
