S o Ahaziah died, just as the word of the Lord had said through Elijah. Because Ahaziah had no son, Jehoram his brother became king in his place, in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah.

Kështu Ashaziahu vdiq, sipas fjalës së Zotit, të cilën e shqiptoi Elia. Me qenë se nuk kishte bij, Jerohami filloi të mbretërojë në vend të tij, gjatë vitit të dytë të Jerohamit, birit të Jozafatit, mbretit të Judës.
