S o they took the bull which was given to them and made it ready. Then they called on the name of Baal from morning until noon, saying, “O Baal, answer us.” But there was no voice. No one answered. They jumped and danced around the altar they had made.

Y ellos tomaron el buey que les fue dado, y lo aparejaron, e invocaron en el nombre de Baal desde la mañana hasta el mediodía, diciendo: ¡Baal, respóndenos! Mas no había voz, ni quien respondiera; entre tanto, ellos andaban saltando cerca del altar que habían hecho.
