G o to King David and say to him, ‘My lord, O king, have you not promised your woman servant, saying, “For sure your son Solomon will be king after me. He will sit on my throne”? Why then has Adonijah become king?’

Preséntate ahora mismo ante el rey David, y dile: “¿Recuerda Su Majestad la promesa que le hizo a esta sierva suya, de que mi hijo Salomón sería rey después de Su Majestad, y que él ocuparía el trono? ¿Por qué, entonces, Adonías es el nuevo rey?”
