2 Samuel 3:35 ~ ﺻﻤﻮﺋﻴﻞ ﺍﻟﺜﺎﻧﻲ 3:35

T hen all the people came to try to talk David into eating bread while it was still day. But David promised, saying, “May God do so to me, and more also, if I taste bread or anything else before the sun goes down.”

وظَّلوا طَوالَ النّهارِ يأتونَ إلَى داوُدَ ليُشَجِّعوهُ عَلَى تَناوُلِ الطَّعامِ. لَكِنَّ داوُدَ كانَ قد تعَهَّدَ فقالَ: «فَلْيُعاقِبْنِي اللهُ وليُلحِقْ بِيَ المَتاعِبَ إنْ أكَلْتُ خُبْزاً أوْ أيَّ طَعامٍ آخرَ قَبلَ مَغيبِ الشَّمسِ.»
