S o the king said to Joab the captain of the army who was with him, “Go through all the families of Israel, from Dan to Beersheba. Number the people, so I may know how many there are.”

Und der König sprach zu Joab, seinem Feldhauptmann: Gehe umher in allen Stämmen Israels von Dan an bis gen Beer-Seba und zähle das Volk, daß ich wisse, wieviel sein ist!
