T hen Absalom told his servants, “Watch when Amnon’s heart is happy with wine. When I say to you, ‘Kill Amnon,’ then put him to death. Do not be afraid. Have not I myself told you to do it? Have strength of heart.”

Absalom a dat următoarea poruncă slujitorilor săi:,, Luaţi seama cînd se va veseli inima lui Amnon de vin, şi cînd vă voi zice:, Loviţi pe Amnon!` atunci să -l omorîţi; să nu vă temeţi de nimic: oare nu vă poruncesc eu? Fiţi tari, şi arătaţi-vă oameni de inimă!``
