W hen the time came for Israel to die, he called his son Joseph. He said to him, “If I have found favor in your eyes, give me your promise to be kind and faithful to me. I ask of you, do not bury me in Egypt.

以 色 列 的 死 期 临 近 了 ， 他 就 叫 了 他 儿 子 约 瑟 来 ， 说 ： 我 若 在 你 眼 前 蒙 恩 ， 请 你 把 手 放 在 我 大 腿 底 下 ， 用 慈 爱 和 诚 实 待 我 ， 请 你 不 要 将 我 葬 在 埃 及 。
