T hen Reuben returned to the hole. When he saw that Joseph was not in the hole, he tore his clothes.

فَأتَى التُّجّارُ بِيُوسُفَ إلَى مِصْرَ. وَلَمّا عادَ رَأُوبَيْنُ إلَى البِئْرِ. رَأى أنَّ يُوسُفَ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِيها. فَمَزَّقَ مَلابِسَهُ حُزْناً.
