T he woman saw that the tree was good for food, and pleasing to the eyes, and could fill the desire of making one wise. So she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave some to her husband, and he ate.

Când a văzut că rodul pomului era bun de mâncat, plăcut la înfăţişare şi de dorit să facă pe cineva înţelept, femeia a luat din rodul lui şi a mâncat; i-a dat şi soţului ei, care era cu ea, şi a mâncat şi el.
