C hildren were born to Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, and the older brother of Japheth.

سامُ هُوَ الأخُ الأكْبَرُ لِيافَثَ. وَقَدْ أنْجَبَ سامُ أيضاً، وَمِنْ نَسلِهِ جاءَ عابِرُ أبو جَمِيعِ العِبْرانيينَ.
