A nd when the men of Israel who were on the other side of the valley, and those who were on the other side of the Jordan, saw that the men of Israel had fled and that Saul and his sons were dead, they forsook the cities and fled; and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.

Quando gli Israeliti che erano di là dalla valle e che erano di là dal Giordano videro che gli uomini d'Israele si erano dati alla fuga e che Saul e i suoi figli erano morti. abbandonarono le città e fuggirono. Allora vennero i Filistei e vi si stabilirono.
