W hen Saul saw David going out against the Philistine, he said to Abner, the commander of the army, “Abner, whose son is this youth?” And Abner said, “As your soul lives, O king, I do not know.”

А як Саул побачив Давида, що виходив навпроти филистимлянина, то сказав до Авнера, провідника війська: Чий син оцей хлопець, Авнере? А Авнер відказав: Присягаю життям твоїм, о царю, що не знаю!
