T his I also did in Jerusalem, and many of the saints I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I cast my vote against them.

وَهَذا هُوَ ما فَعَلتُهُ فِي القُدسِ. إذْ وَضَعتُ كَثِيرِينَ مِنَ المُؤمِنينَ المُقَدَّسينَ فِي السِّجنِ، بَعدَ أنْ أخَذتُ تَفوِيضاً بِذَلِكَ مِنْ كِبارِ الكَهَنَةِ. وَحِينَ كانَ يُحكَمُ عَلَيهِمْ بِالمَوْتِ كُنتُ أُصَوِّتُ ضِدَّهُمْ.
