أمّا بُولُسُ فَدافَعَ عَنْ نَفسِهِ وَقالَ: «ما أسَأتُ بِشَيءٍ إلَى شَرِيعَةِ اليَهُودِ أوِ الهَيكَلِ أوِ القَيصَرِ.»
