f or Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just and holy man, and he protected him. And when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.

لِأنَّ هِيرُودُسَ كانَ يَخافُ مِنْ يُوحَنّا. وَقَدْ حَماهُ مِنَ المَوتِ لأنَّهُ يَعرِفُ أنَّهُ رَجُلٌ صالِحٌ وَمُقَدَّسٌ. وَمَعَ أنّهُ كانَ يَنزَعِجُ مِنْ كَلامِ يُوحَنّا، إلّا أنَّهُ أحَبَّ الاستِماعَ إلَيهِ.
