T hen Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly.

وَلَكِنَّ يُوسُفَ رَجُلَها كانَ صالِحاً، وَلَمْ يَشَأْ أنْ يَكشِفَ أمْرَها، فَقَرَّرَ أنْ يَترُكَها بِهُدُوءٍ.
