A nd they said: “The Lord commanded my lord Moses to give the land as an inheritance by lot to the children of Israel, and my lord was commanded by the Lord to give the inheritance of our brother Zelophehad to his daughters.

und sprachen: Meinem Herrn hat der HERR geboten, daß man das Land zum Erbteil geben sollte durchs Los den Kindern Israel; auch ward meinem Herrn geboten von dem HERRN, daß man das Erbteil Zelophehads, unsers Bruders, seinen Töchtern geben soll.
