T hen Israel defeated him with the edge of the sword, and took possession of his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, as far as the people of Ammon; for the border of the people of Ammon was fortified.

以 色 列 人 用 刀 杀 了 他 ， 得 了 他 的 地 ， 从 亚 嫩 河 到 雅 博 河 ， 直 到 亚 扪 人 的 境 界 ， 因 为 亚 扪 人 的 境 界 多 有 坚 垒 。
