T hus says the Lord: “For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, Because they sell the righteous for silver, And the poor for a pair of sandals.

Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Israel and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because they have sold the just and uncompromisingly righteous for silver and the needy for a pair of sandals;
