“ And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined.

După aceste şasezeci şi două de săptămîni, unsul va fi stîrpit, şi nu va avea nimic. Poporul unui domn care va veni, va nimici cetatea şi sfîntul Locaş, şi sfîrşitul lui va fi ca printr'un potop; este hotărît că războiul va ţinea pînă la sfîrşit şi împreună cu el şi pustiirile.
