T hen these men approached the king, and said to the king, “Know, O king, that it is the law of the Medes and Persians that no decree or statute which the king establishes may be changed.”

Pero aquellos hombres se reunieron apresuradamente ante el rey y le dijeron: Ya sabes, oh rey, que según la ley de Media y de Persia, ningún edicto u ordenanza que el rey confirme puede ser abrogado.
