“ Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say to him: ‘You are like a young lion among the nations, And you are like a monster in the seas, Bursting forth in your rivers, Troubling the waters with your feet, And fouling their rivers.

Fils de l'homme, Prononce une complainte sur Pharaon, roi d'Égypte! Tu lui diras: Tu ressemblais à un lionceau parmi les nations; Tu étais comme un crocodile dans les mers, Tu t'élançais dans tes fleuves, Tu troublais les eaux avec tes pieds, Tu agitais leurs flots.
