C ome up, O horses, and rage, O chariots! And let the mighty men come forth: The Ethiopians and the Libyans who handle the shield, And the Lydians who handle and bend the bow.

All’assalto, cavalli! Al galoppo, carri! Si facciano avanti i prodi, quelli d’Etiopia e di Put che portano lo scudo, quelli di Lud che maneggiano e tendono l’arco.
